I went to the movies last night with a friend and saw "The Brave One."
Wow. I thought this was one of the most thought provoking movies I have seen all year. Jodie Foster did a phenominal job portraying her character. I've heard all the criticism about it being unrealistic and the ending being even more absurd. All I have to say to those people is: Get Over It!
This movie is addressing deep rooted instincts. I left the theater asking myself if there was anything I wouldn't do to avenge a loved one. I've never believed in the "Eye for an eye" type of justice, but I do believe now that there are situations that would be justified.
